Wasim Ahmad is an assistant professor in the journalism department at Stony Brook University in New York. He holds a bachelor's degree in English from Binghamton University, and is currently finishing up his master's in photography at Syracuse University. He has experience working for the Web and print at newspapers in Minnesota, Florida and upstate New York. His work has been recognized by the Freedom Forum and the Center for Innovation in College Media.
