Ali Kasim graduated from the University of Toronto in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in professional writing. After spending three years as an editor at the campus newspaper, Ali decided to turn his life toward journalism and is currently a master’s student in Magazine, Newspaper and Online Journalism at Syracuse University. He has published one novel, traveled to 12 different countries around the globe, and hopes to some day live and work in New York City as a soccer columnist.
