Zach Ornitz is a master's candidate in the The Newhouse School's VIC department. Ornitz recently resigned from a staff position as the chief photographer of the Aspen Daily News in Aspen, Colo. Ornitz studies at Syracuse University and will focus on both editorial and commercial applications for photography (with an emphasis placed on multimedia storytelling). Ornitz will also be working as an "instructional assistant" for the school. Although photojournalism is his calling, Ornitz’s passion is in capturing action sports. Ornitz is an avid skier and mountaineer who strives to meld his love for the outdoors with his photographic vision.
