From Water to Watercolor

by Janna Dotschkal | Coaches Seth Siditsky & Tom Sperduto

Ed Levine is a local watercolor artist who has been painting for over forty years. He lives on the south end of Skaneateles lake and paints in his studio in between shows at galleries. Levine taught art in Moravia at a high school before retiring and building a house on the lake. The lake perpetually inspires Levine to paint landscapes. He particularly enjoys the lake's various colors and looks. This variety creates a number of landscapes for him to paint. Levine often paints from his boat. He lives on the lake all year round, unlike his neighbors, who are mostly snowbirds.
