There is a mansion on the shore of the Skaneateles Lake in Skaneateles that provides a peaceful atmosphere, well-organized activities and promotes a relaxing spirituality called the Stella Maris Retreat and Conference Center. People from all over the globe pay to stay there in search of a sacred, holy place to enrich their spiritual state of mind, body and soul. Stella Maris is owned and run by four Sisters of St. Francis with a staff less than ten people and volunteers who keep the hospitality running throughout each group’s and individual’s stay.
